Keep in mind it had salt and dirt coating it up to the door handle when I started. After two coats of wax, she's looking good.

I painted them right after I got the car. Minimal work for a nice touch.
The tune is for the extra power ;)

Awesome! All those little cosmetic things you have done have made a hell of a difference. I quite like the black chevy badge.

I must admit, at first I was dismissive of your car. GM does not have a great track record when producing compact cars. Even when they get somebody else to do it, it's usually been full of fail.
But then, I drove one, an LTZ. Goes to show that you really can't fully judge a car until you drive it. The dash config takes some getting used to, but my six foot frame fits well. Seats are pretty good. Interior is cheap, but doesn't feel cheap, if that makes sense.
What surprised me the most, however, was the acceleration. "Whoa, turbo!" I said, not knowing that it was, in fact, turbocharged. I kinda miss the old days when they always put TURBO in huge letters on the side of thing.
Then I saw a corner, with nobody around and good road conditions. "Ok little Chevy", I said to the car, "let's see how you handle this" , tossing it in and diving for the apex. It's no Lotus, but it took it well, with good feedback as to its limits. On exit, I thrashed it pretty hard but torque steer was manageable.
I'd rather the Golf, but I'd pay, what, 4-5k more for it?

Yeah, a Golf would be more, and it's also a bigger car.
If you liked the LTZ, you'd love the RS. Even better seats, better steering wheel, tighter suspension. The acceleration is alright with the stock tune, but for a mere $200 you can get a tune that makes it bonkers. At least a second off the zero to 60.
I was a little worried I'd have buyers remorse, but I love this car. It deserves more attention than it gets, it's a great all around car that's got tons of little features that make it totally unique.

I did a follow for opposite lock thingy but I don't know if that's all it takes? If it's not, I'll share the post and get a mod to approve you
